Childhood was a nightmare for David Goggins, with poverty, bigotry, and physical abuse colouring his days and haunting his nights. However, Goggins converted himself from a despondent, overweight young man with no future into a U.S. Armed Forces icon and one of the world’s best endurance athletes via self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work. He was the only man in history to finish elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force Tactical Air Controller, and he went on to set records in a variety of endurance contests, prompting the Outside magazine to name him “The Fittest (Real) Man in America.”
In his book “Can’t Hurt Me,” Goggins explains the ideas that enabled him to prevail in the face of adversity, showing how others can be inspired by his journey.

Summary of Can`t Hurt Me Book and David Goggins Life
Born into poverty, Goggin’s childhood was plagued by violence and abuse. He grew to be a man who stood well above six feet tall and weighed 300 pounds, but he had no direction or purpose. When an ex-girlfriend introduced him to running as a way to trim down, he discovered that he achieved much more than weight loss through this simple act of putting one foot in front of the other. As his desire for improvement grew, so did his dedication. He began honing his mind and body with military-grade workouts designed by former Navy SEALs Marcus Luttrell (of Lone Survivor fame) and Acosta – growing stronger every day and learning to never give up, no matter how impossible the challenge seemed.
So what is it that makes Goggins so unbreakable? In his book, he outlines three core principles: mental toughness, self-discipline, and hard work. As he puts it: “The human will is indestructible.” No matter the obstacle in his path, Goggins refused to give up or give in. He reminds us that we all have the potential for greatness within us – we simply need to find the strength to access it.
In an era where many seem content to sit back and let life happen to them, Goggins’ story is a refreshing reminder that anything is possible if you’re willing to work hard enough. His can’t hurt me mentality can be applied to all aspects of modern life, including the workplace.
This can’t hurt me can help you in most cases, with most problems. I can say that it’s an amazing book and can really help you with your mental toughness if you apply yourself 100% while reading it (just like everything else you want to achieve).

Conclusion
I read Can`t Hurt Me by David Goggins pdf version on my phone, but I think the paper version is much better because then you can take notes or underline important parts of the book – that’s why people normally buy the physical book would be better if you can get the audio version so you can hear his voice. The book is amazing and really can help you with your mental toughness if applied correctly.
You can also go to Youtube and look up some of his speeches on there and that might help too. I hope this review helped, and have a great day! 🙂
